Prayer has saved Rebecca's life and has gotten her through life’s many difficulties. Whether the challenge was completing college without a high school diploma or money, having understanding in a cross-cultural marriage, juggling being a wife, raising children and working, or running a small business and ministry, prayer has kept her. God has taught Rebecca much about prayer and He continues to teach her about it; in return she offers His wisdom to people across the nation.
Realizing God spared her life for a purpose, Rebecca has accepted His assignment to communicate to women, challenging them to fulfill their divine destinies by giving their lives unconditionally to God and be catalysts of change through prayer, spiritual growth and reaching out to others.
Rebecca and her husband, Uwaifo have raised two sons and a daughter, who are all young adults. They also helped raise a nephew and a niece. Rebecca and Uwaifo reside in Detroit, Michigan.

Rebecca’s fourth book, one based on Titus 2:3, encouraging mentoring relationships among Christian women will be published by InterVarsity Press in 2010.

Rebecca is the founder of Chosen Vessels Ministries, Inc. a woman’s discipleship, leadership training and out-reach ministry which was founded in 1999.
Rebecca Florence Osaigbovo was raised in Tennessee as a child of missionaries, Thomas and Shermine Florence. As a Christian teenager, Rebecca accepted the challenge to surrender her life unconditionally to the Lord for His purposes.
In Rebecca’s senior year in high school, she was diagnosed with a rare blood disease, a disease which is almost always fatal. After going through an emergency surgery, being in a coma and being paralyzed, the specialist gave her parents no hope for recovery. Even if Rebecca was to live, he predicted that she would be in a vegetative state. But God had other plans.
Her parents took their daughter’s condition to the Lord. They asked their supporters to pray and also requested prayer when the local paper asked what could be done. Articles appealing for prayer were soon in papers around the country.
